Job Purpose
Primarily accountable for the development and execution of Global Markets Sales Strategy within Country Global Markets. This entails ensuring a strategic and co-ordinated sales focus on servicing the Global Markets needs of both existing and new business clients such as execution of trades (Pricing and Booking of Trades) and Client engagements.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
To develop and drive Country’s Global Markets sales strategy around growing and servicing clients while ensuring that it is in line with and supports broader Global Markets strategy.
Accountable for ensuring that processes, structures, systems and resources required to effectively service existing clients and develop new clients are in place and continuously reviewed, thereby contributing positively to the efficiency and profitability of the Country Global Markets function.

To demonstrate a thorough understanding of the strategic business drivers, opportunities, challenges, needs, competition and threats inherent in the environments/business sectors within which clients operate.
To have oversight of day-to-day decisions, relationships and operations in terms of the bigger picture, keeping the overall/long term strategic objectives of Country in mind.
To drive research programs from a range of information sources (internal and external) on foreign exchange activities to enable the production of reports for Management
To support the Head of Global Markets with certain aspects of team and information management.

To act as central contact for enquiries coming into the team in relation to structuring foreign exchange deals with corporate clients in conjunction with the entire CIB Products and businesses.
Preferred Qualification and Experience
First degree in Business / Finance related programme
ACI Dealing Certificate / Qualification
Minimum of 5 years depth of experience and exposure in Global Markets Sales and with Banking background. An advanced working knowledge of foreign exchange and money markets and an intermediate understanding of other Global Markets products.

Knowledge/Technical Skills/Expertise
Relevant experience in the operational, products, client management in Client Coverage; Transactional Products & Services or Investment Banking; Business Banking at an entry or intermediate level.
A expert working knowledge of foreign exchange, interest rates, equities and an intermediate understanding of other trading products. A good appreciation and knowledge of Risk Management, covering Operational Risk, Market Risk and Credit Risk. A good understanding of macroeconomics and current economic trends; Exchange control rules and regulations applicable

Knowledge of the part of the financial system that focuses on raising capital; Practical understanding of the tools available to reduce the risk of negative price movements of investments or assets. Understanding of the relationships between the bond yield, the bond price and the link between the yield and the market price.
Expertise on the opportunities, competitive environment, regulations, and risks related to doing business in a particular country. Expertise on cross border transacting, multi-country risk taking, regulations governing cross border transactions and the risks of trading in multiple jurisdictions.
