Job Description

• Offer telephone counselling after hours, during weekends, and during holidays.
• Daily populate the data case management system.
• Establish a relationship of trust and respect with clients.
• Actively listen to client concerns and empathise with their position.
• Accept without bias the issues raised by clients.
• Help clients towards a deeper understanding of their concerns.
• Refer clients to other sources of help, as appropriate.
• Liaise, as necessary, with other agencies and individuals such as police, hospitals and social workers to help make changes based on the issues raised by clients.
