Applicants are invited for the Internal post of Senior Typist / Typist tenable in various institutions of Central Region.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent and Pensionable

QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should quote reference and vacancy circular number and provide the following:

• Diploma in Secretarial Studies certificate.
• National Certificate in Secretarial Studies (NCSS) plus 2 years relevant experience
• Be able to read and write English and Setswana
• Minimum of Junior Certificate (JC)

LEAVE RATE: 25 days per annum

JOB DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this job is to provide general typing services to a group of ofliccn within the different sections of the Ministry / Department

CORE DUTIES:

• Types letter, minutes, reports, notes from manuscripts or other forms of copies and files copies.
• Produces copies from original scripts
• Checks his/her work for correctness and proper layout.
• Keep up to date Public Service Procedures and practice regarding the use of abbreviations, correction of first draft and in addressing of official correspondence.
• Provides typing duties to a group of middle management officers.
• Provide on the job training to typist II.
