Reporting to the Managing Director this position will primarily focus on transforming the multi-temp warehousing and logistics environment into one which Is world class in every aspect, culminating In the highest possible standards In customer service and efficiency.

Duties and responsibilities include:
- Researching, motivating, introducing and maintaining a world-class Warehouse Management System into the Gaborone warehouse
- Monitoring warehouse K.RI.’s such as warehouse utilization, late departures, late arrivals, late deliveries, conformance to service intervals etc
- Controlling the warehouse fleet of vehicles
- Contribute to developing the strategy for the business over a 5 -year period, considering structures and KPIs
- Pioneering change and being a key figure in the implementation of best practices
- Overseeing the supply and demand planning processes and creating accurate forecasts
- Custodian of customer service to all customers
- Implementation of a Fleet Logistics Optimizer program to improve distribution routing, scheduling, productivity and efficiency
- Maintaining world-class image and housekeeping standards
- Evaluating and designing of all stock control systems
- Management of all stock related interactions with external suppliers
- Management of “risk lists’
- Managing the Warehouse. Logistics teams, and Customer services team providing training and guidance where needed
- Full budgetary responsibility across the department
- Manpower planning and management thereof of direct reports
- Establishing and maintaining a set of safety standards
- Elimination of waste and stock losses
Minimum Requirements:
- Preferably 5 years’ relevant experience in an FMCG environment
- Degree or Diploma in supply chain, logistics or similar
- Experience working with perishable/short shelf life goods is essential
- ERP (e.g. SAP. Sage etc.) experience would be ideal
- KPI Driven with strong commercial vision
- Hands-on management style
- Customer focused attitude
- Prepared to ‘roll up sleeves’ and work unusual hours when necessary
- Hands-on problem-solving ability
- Good organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Exceptional time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work overtime and on Saturdays and public holidays if required
