The Role:

The role will be responsible for the coordination of inbound and/outbound logistical operations, including inventory management, warehousing and transportation to ensure sufficient supply of goods and products.

Key Performance Areas

The Warehouse Manager will be mainly responsible for the following duties among other things:

• Ensures administration and operation of the organization’s warehouse, including processing, packaging and storage of supplies, materials and equipment functions satisfactory.
• Ensures warehouse processes are maintained and managed to limit financial risks, including goods returns, credit, receiving & dispatch processes.
• Accounts for all materials and supplies in the stores facilities; audits goods received into the warehouse.
• Oversees receipt, storage and shipment of materials and related reporting in accordance with established procedures.
• Prepares and coordinates schedules for shipping and receiving materials to control the flow of goods and regulate warehouse space.
• Ensures the effectiveness of operating procedures, space utilization and maintenance and protection for facilities and equipment.
• Efficient management of inbound and outbound logistics
• Forecasting and optimization of inventory levels to match customer demands
• Inventory control and analysis to prevent stock obsolescence

Profile Required

• • 2 years managerial level experience WITH at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Inventory Management, Accounting and / or Purchasing and Supply from a recognised institute OR at least 5 years’ experience in inventory and supply chain management.
  • Excellent skills in communication, analytical, well-structured and organised.
  • Excellent in excel and ERP inventory systems.
  • Experience in mining / technical /engineering environment is an added advantage.
  • Must display safety leadership at all times.
  • A clean class 4 driver’s licence plus valid defensive driving licence.
  • Prepared to travel.
