Qualifications & Experience:
Applicants should possess the following qualifications and experience:
Tutors:
- A Bachelors degree or Masters in Accounting or Finance or its equivalent
- A professional qualification such as ACCA/CIMA and a PhD will be an added advantage.
- At least two years’ experience in training/consulting in industry or in an educational environment
- Possession of a teaching qualification will be an added advantage.
- Accedited with the Botswana Qualifications Authority as a trainer/assesor/moderator
Key Performance Areas
Kindly note that all BOU programmes are offered online, therefore all applicants to the advertised posts should have access to a computer and the Internet. The writer/tutor will be expected to perform, among other duties, the following duties:
- Write all curriculum-related materials for their preferred courses.
- Prepare and deliver online tutorials in accordance with Departmental quality standards and guidelines.
- Respond to course-related queries raised by students through different means of communication.
- Mark assignments/ research projects and provide timely feedback.
- Assist in setting and marking assignments/ examinations/ competency-based assessments.
- Keep records of student attendance, student progress, and any other relevant records.
- Provide guidance and counselling to students
- Support students online.
