Majwe Mining Joint Venture(Pty)Ltd. has been engaged as a Contractor for the Cut8 Contract Mining by Debswana at the Jwaneng Mine.

The project waste material to expand the current mine and it is an important contribution to the economy of Botswana.The company requires the services of knowledgeable, highly skilled and self-driven individuals’ for the following positions:


Job Summary

Reporting to Commercial Manager,the successful incumbent will be required to assist the Plant,Finance and Commercial team in the integrity and analysis of plant result through accurate systems reporting knowledge and strengthening project processes

Key Responsibilities
>Assist in the development of annual plant budgets and forecasts
>Ensure accurate maintenance of plant operating ledger and provisions,ensuring cost control is maintained
>Demonstrate detailed understanding of relevent costs and analyze costs to achieve optimal outcomes for project
>Mantain planned positive cash forecast for equipment
>Safety,Health and Environment compliance

Job Requirements
>Degree in Accounting,ACCA/CIMA or any relevant qualification
>Registered member of BICA
>5years’relevant experience of which 3 should be served at a supervisory level
>Experience in construction or mining industry
>In-depth knowledge of the finance and management accounting functions

Job Summary
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful incumbent will be required to privide quality financial and admnistrative services to meet the needs of both the business.

Key Responsibilities
>Ensure that correct process for payment of creditors is followed, invoices to properly authorized,substantiated by receipts for good/services
>Ensure funds are in the appropriate currencies for payment
>Ensure payments have correct tax treatment for WHT and VAT
>Review all payments to creditors for bank signatories
>Timely review of supplier reconciliations in line with the Trial Balance
>Prepare weekly,monthly and periodical sectional reports
>Adherence to internal and statutory requirements
>Compliance to Safety, Health and Environmental standards

Job Requirements
>Degree in Accounting and Professional part qualification-ACCA/CIMA
>Registered member of BICA
>5years relevant work experience
>In-depth knowledge of Botswana tax laws
>Experience in construction or mining industry
>In-depth knowledge of finance management accounting functions
>Detailed knowledge of IFRS
>Proficiency in accounting software,preferably JDE

Job Summary
Reporting to the Contracts Specialist,the successful incumbent will manage the Commercial and contructual responsibilities for Jwaneng project,both upstream(head Contract and downstream(Subcontracts).

Key Responsibilities
>Advise the project on general commercial requirements,obligations and or issues
>Engage in client/subcontractor liaison to understand client’s perspective
>Comply with the Jwaneng Cut8 Contract and ensure all MMJV entitlements under the contract are received and variations are flagged and dealt with expediently
>Ensure any change in legislation or other commercial risk to those identified and included in a contract at base tender ar administered without disadvantage to tje MMJV
>Review and analyze revenue trends in conjuction with cost and operational data to ensure revenue achieved accurately reflects work undertaken on site
>Work with stakeholders across the business to ensure careful and effective claims management processes are in place and subcontractors/service provider are paid appropriately for the work undertake
>Provide advice and submission to the Operations Director,General Manager and other stakeholders on the risks/benefits of pursuing claims

Job Requirements
>Degree or similar in mining,engineering,legal or business background or Quantity survey
>3years relevant experience in a dynamic environment.Experience in a mining environment will be an added advantage
>Experience in managing(and being part of a team)dealing with major commercial issues at various stages
>In-depth knowledge of contract mining
>Strong influencing and negotiating capability

Job Summary
Reporting to the Communications&Community Relations Manager,succeful incumbent will assist in development of untrnal and external communication plans and strive for positive public images for the organization.The incumbent will also assist in planning activities and events related to Community Relations(Social Performance Management Plan) and perform any other duties as directed by the Supervisor

Key Responsibilities
>Implement internal communication strategy among staff
>Ensure flow of relevant information between the management and stuff
>Participate in team building activities
>Promote the image of the company in a view to uphold reputation
>Assist in the maintenance of cordial relations with key stakeholders as well as the public at large in line with Majwe Social Performance Plan.
>Implement media management program which will result in fair and balanced coverage of the company
>Assist in developing and implementation of annual media relations plan
>Disseminate information on the company’s programs,projects,policies and activities
>Production and distribution of internal publication of the company
>Identify and implenent charitable projects in line with Majwe Corporate Social Responsibility Policy
>Plan activities and events that contribute positively to the lives of the disadvantaged members of society
>Implementation of the brand manual plan for the company to enhance its presence and visibility
>Maintains external affairs data integrity and keeping manual and system records up to date
>Compliance to Safety,Health and Environmental Standards

Job Requirements
>Diploma/Degree in Public Relations,Communications,Marketing or related disciplines
>2years relevant experience in a dynamic environment.Experience in mining environment will be an added advantage
>Good communications and presentations skills
>Proven negotiation/Influence skills
>Good administrative skills
>Class B driving license
