Purpose of the job
To effectively manage all elements of the brand marketing mix within Botswana in order to ensure that the brands continue to maintain and grow their dominant positions.
Key tasks and responsibilities
· Assist with the develop and implement an annual marketing plans executed within the agreed budget and time lines.
· Manage the marketing budget based on collection of marketing royalties.
· Assume accountability for all national marketing activities above & below the line.
· Development & maintenance of the digital and social media strategy.
· Liaise with specific brand marketing representatives on POS requirements, obtain operational and marketing briefs.
· Management of advertising agency & marketing vendors.
· Interface with Product, Training, Operations, New Business
· Manage all aspects of print production including proof reading and checking quality and presentation.
· Co-ordinate the creation and distribution of brand approved POS.
· Determine required volumes of promotional stock items and brief procurement accordingly.
· Maintain neat and accurate records, including contracts and agreements.
· Compile and circulate marketing briefs for all promotional activities.
· Measure and communicate effectiveness of all promotional activities.
· Ensure all local store marketing campaigns align with the brand strategy.
· Development and implementation of pricing strategies.
· Accountability for timely menu launches.
· Maintain accurate menu matrices.
· Management of all consumer research to gain consumer insights that drive strategic decisions.
· Assist with the handling of customer complaints. Particularly on Social Media.
· Implementation of best practices with regards marketing management and project management.
· Present an overview of the brand’s marketing to franchisees and Company owned restaurant leadership teams on a quarterly basis.
· Develop and implement marketing collateral in line with brand CI.
· Prepare statistical analysis to assist with decision making.
· Management of public relations, CSR initiatives and sponsorships where relevant.
· Manage telephone directory inserts.
· Assist with planning of annual Staff party.
· Assist with planning and execution of franchisee meetings
· Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to; photocopying, filing, faxing and mailing.
· Attend meetings as required.
· In addition to these typical duties, may perform other duties as assigned and required.
Candidates should possess the following skills qualifications and experience;
· A suitable tertiary qualification in marketing and/or advertising.
· A minimum of 5 years experience. FMCG or the fast food industry is preferable.
· Preferably previous franchising experience.
· Strong track record of successfully building brands
· Has successfully managed people and teams
· Management of budgets
· Excellent interpersonal & presentation skills.
· Fluent in English.
· Ability to effectively communicate at all levels
