THREE (3) YEARS FIXED TERM CONTRACT
Reporting to the Mechanical Superintendent, the preferred candidate will have Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, coupled with NCC certificate in fitting and mechanical engineering certificate, coupled with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience of which at least five (5) years in maintenance supervision at a senior level on a fixed plant operation in a gold mining environment.
Specific responsibilities will include;
- Supervision of plant maintenance engineering staff
- Scheduling planned maintenance work
- Allocation of plant maintenance work.
- Planning preventative maintenance to minimize down time in the plant
- Ensuring availability of critical plant components parts.
- Ensuring that Safety standards are adhered to.
- Liaising with outside suppliers.
- Good communication skills and team builder.
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of fixed plant equipment which includes jaw crushers, pumps, ball and SAG mills, screen, feeders, thickeners, compressors, leaching and elution plants. Computer skills are critical in particular Microsoft outlook, lotus, mims-elipsem, Greentree etc. The candidate must be a self-starter and should have good leadership and interpersonal skills.

The Mupane gold mine is located approximately 50 kilometres by road from Francistown in North Eastern of Botswana. In continuous operation since 2005, MGM has recently increased the operational life of mine and exploration activities are on-going to determine if there are further opportunities to develop additional resources.
