Mowana Copper Mine is a Botswana Copper development and Mining Company whose focus is to grow as a base metal business and transition from operations start up to a sustainable copper producer in Botswana. Mowana Copper Mine is situated in the North-Western part of Botswana between Mosetse and Dukwi villages.

Job Summary
To formulate and oversee implementation of operational and tactical plans in line with the Department and Business Strategy and objectives. Ensures Operational and Process efficiencies and improvements through best practices and effective resource utilisation.

Minimum Education or Qualifications:

Recognised Degree/Higher National Diploma in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering


Knowledge of the Filtration & Floatation processes
Knowledge of Business Management Systems
Strategic Planning
Organisational Awareness
Excellent Communication & Presentation Skills
Team work

Key Skills and Experience:

a minimum of 15 years’ experience within a Metallurgical and Mineral Processing environment,
5 of which should have been at Superintendent level.
Experience in base metal processing plant is essential, with demonstrated track record on Safety, Business Improvement, Systems Design and Implementation.
