Job description

As a receptionist you will be the first point of contact for the company and you will provide administrative support across the organization. You will handle the flow of people through the business and ensure that all receptionist responsibilities are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner.

Key Areas of responsibility


  • Answer telephone calls and take messages or forward calls
  • Schedule and confirm appointments and maintain calendars
  • Greet and welcome customers, clients, and other visitors
  • Check visitors in and direct or escort them to specific destinations
  • Inform other employees of visitors’ arrivals or cancellations
  • Enter customer data and send correspondence
  • Copy, file, and maintain paper or electronic documents
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and email
  • Providing clients with general information/literature on investing in the stock market
  • To arrange bookings and itineraries for visiting clients as suggested by senior team members.
  • Stock monitoring
  • To perform ad- hoc duties assigned by other members of staff



The ideal candidate should have a minimum qualification of a diploma in secretarial studies or related field of study.

  • Strong desire to work in the financial/investment profession
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Knowledge in the capital markets will be an added advantage
  • Friendly and approachable
  • Solid communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise
  • Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize and work under pressure
  • Must be team player
  • Trustworthy
  • Reliable
  • Sense of confidentiality to sensitive information
  • Must have leadership capabilities
