SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER – Debswana Employee Service Centre (DESC)

Job Summary
Develop and provide strategic direction in the creation and implementation of the Debswana Employee Services Centre Central. Develop strategy and frameworks for HR transactional services for Debswana. Manage the DESC central and onsite centers structures, roles and resourcing. Responsible for DESC SLAs and KPIs to Group & Mine ExCo. Responsible for guiding the Debswana Employee Services Centre team in the execution of all administrative components of HR onsite and centrally.
Key Activities
  • Analyses the divisional area’s financial needs to develop a budget and ensures sufficient financial resources to meet business needs.
  • Develops and manages the company’s DESC strategy in support of the organizational objectives.
  • Structures and re-evaluate Debswana HR services model to ensure adequate business support.
  • Manage and coordinate the total recruitment function aligned to the business strategy to ensure human capital is in place to deliver business results in accordance with established protocols.
  • Manages HR Systems (SAP) in line with Business Requirements to ensure consistency, standardization and governance.
  • Identifies and manages the implementation of and adherence to legal and corporate governance principles/ requirements.
  • Develops, supervises a large group of subordinates to a level of optimal value addition to the business, and ensures smooth operations and excellence service levels.
  • Implements knowledge management principles through application of tools and methodologies to continuously improve and sustain business performance.
  • Establishes and maintains effective relationships with all key stakeholders and partners to ensure achievement of business objectives.


Minimum Requirements:
  • Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent.
  • 5 – 10 years post graduate experience in managing shared service centers.
  • Advanced knowledge of the service and mining sectors.
  • Good knowledge of SAP.
