JOB SUMMARY
The candidate will be required to provide to provide first and second line technical support to our customers and to support network maintenance tasks. The candidate should be able to provide technical support to users remotely and onsite as well as provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal. Among other key responsibilities, this role will be responsible for:
• 2nd and 3rd line technical Support Troubleshooting and resolving network related issues from basic to intermediate level complexity
• Support of Trainee Engineers
• Client configurations and Service Activations
• Sales Support (solution design)
• Network maintenance activities
JOB REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in this position you must possess:
• A Degree in Engineering/Communication/IT or related field and relevant industry certifications (MTCNA, MTCRE or CCNA/CCNP)
• At least 6 months to 1 year experience in a Trainee Engineer position
• Experience in WAN, WLAN and RAN (4G technologies) will be an added advantage.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
The prospective employee must have the following skills and abilities:
• Deep understanding of IP Routing and switching (Protocols and technologies).
• Working understanding of SMTP and DNS functionality.
• Experience in Radio and Microwave transmission technologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Setswana and English.
• Ability to work under pressure and as a member of a team.
REMUNERATION
Remuneration and benefits will be commensurate with experience and certification levels while a comprehensive, performance-based package and benefits will be negotiated.
