Solutions Strategist
Reporting to the Heads-Commercial Segment and Public Sector, the incumbent will be tasked with driving origination and retention from a solutions and product perspective through the creation of new products and solutions sets and cross selling.


The core duties are:
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders, displaying excellent abilities to initiate dialogue and listen, advise, influence and negotiate
  • Understand the client or potential client’s business, business processes, system requirements, banking needs and key strategy
  • Respond to complex solicited and unsolicited requests for proposals (RFPs) and proposals using professional, high quality presentations
  • Create end-to-end value propositions that include current and new product and solution sets, pricing, service and channel delivery model that meet current and anticipated future client needs
  • Understand the new product commercialization roadmap and strategic innovations taking place across the bank
  • Design integrated and bank-wide solutions in order to achieve increased market share, share of wallet and revenue diversification
  • Understand traditional and non-traditional competitor offerings and strategies
  • Collate client presentations, generic proposals and tender-specific responses
  • Manage the solution design, client engagement and client interface using project management disciplines
  • Design, develop and implement banking solutions that meet and exceed client needs in consultation with the product houses
  • Design the implementation plan and coordinate the roll-out of the plan with the client, Product Specialists and Service Managers
  • Initiate meetings with key stakeholders to track progress, manage expectations and ensure stakeholders’ needs are met timely
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
  • Relevant Degree
  • Minimum 5 years transactional banking experience
  • Must have relevant specialized product knowledge
  • Project management experience (advantageous)
