Community Based Interventions for HIV/AIDS in Botswana Project (ExCAB)

HPP Botswana is inviting suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the available positions of the upcoming USAID funded project to implement an activity to support the maintenance and uninterrupted delivery of quality HIV/AIDS services within communities and strengthen the community and health systems in Botswana with an emphasis on the delivery of integrated HIV services. This position is contingent on the project: Community Based Interventions for HIV/AIDS in Botswana Project (ExCAB).

Driver (Full Time)

JOB SUMMARY/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

To drive project vehicles to transport company personnel or visitors and to provide messengerial services to the project.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Drive the authorised project personnel and other partners to their assigned destinations in a safe and responsible manner and to the satisfaction of the passengers and supervisors.
• Maintain in clean and good condition of the vehicles, and being aware of any anomalies in the operation of the vehicle for which authorization for repairs will be necessary.
• Completes vehicle logbook and ensures that all journeys undertaken are authorized by supervisor.
• Collects and delivers project materials, to various destinations as required.
• Cleans vehicles and ensures that they are kept in a clean and tidy condition at all times.
• Ensures that the motor vehicle is always roadworthy and reports defects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• The ideal candidate would have at least completed BGCSE and in possession of Light Vehicle driving license (Class B)
• The ideal candidate should have assumed a similar role with at least two to three years’ experience of driving a range of light vehicles and accident free driving record
• The ideal candidate should be timely, reliable and abile to work without close supervision with excellent Interpersonal and communication skills
