The Republic of Botswana – Ministry of International Relations is a constitutional organ of the Government of Botswana, headquartered in Gaborone. It is responsible for managing Botswana’s foreign relations, negotiating treaties, representing the country in international forums, and coordinating diplomatic missions abroad. The Ministry operates under the authority of the President of Botswana and implements national foreign policy as mandated by Botswana’s Constitution and relevant Acts of Parliament. Its functions are carried out from its offices in the capital city, Gaborone, and through Botswana’s embassies, high commissions, and permanent missions worldwide.
