Commercial Motors, a subsidiary of the Sefalana Group of companies and Motor Dealership TATA, MAN and HONDA, has an opportunity for the following post. The positions are tenable at Commercial Motors, Broadhurst Industrial, Gaborone.
Position: Workshop Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise on repairs of MAN, TATA and HONDA vehicle models
- Supervise a team of Technicians, Foreman and Service Advisors
- Render technical advise to Technicians and Assistants
- Ensure adherence to quality control standards on vehicle maintenance
- Maintain customer relations and key accounts
- Manage work in progress, work flow and job planning on daily basis
- Manage After Sales queries
- Reach monthly targets and maintain budgets
- Do OEM reports and departmental reports
Requirements
- An ambitious and dynamic person of sound technical & diagnostic knowledge, with a proven track record is sought. The applicant must be very serious about “first time right” standards and must have a vast experience as a qualified Auto / Diesel Mechanic / Electrical Technician
- Should have working knowledge of MANCATS or similar diagnostic tools
- Customer oriented and good communication skills
- Should be able to assist with vehicle handovers and driver training
- Minimum of 10 years’ work experience in a Management position
- Experience and qualifications on brands such as TATA and, or MAN will be an added advantage
- Must be experienced and have working knowledge in Microsoft Office products
- Must have heavy duty drivers’ license
- The applicant should have a minimum of Diploma in Auto / Diesel / Heavy duty Mechanic or its equivalent
