Motor Vehicle Accident Fund invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following position:

Responsible for coordinating the financial accounting functions of the MVA Fund including processing of payments and receipts of income and ensuring that transactions are recorded accurately in the General Ledger. The role monitors the MVA Fund cash flow position for the preparation of cash flow forecasts and prepares the audit schedules, reviews/prepares the monthly payroll, maintains the General Ledger and prepares Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Financial Statements.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
  • Membership of an international professional accountancy institution (e.g. CIMA, ACCA, BICA and ACA).
  • At least 5-6 years relevant financial accounting experience with demonstrable supervisory experience in a computerized accounting environment.
  • Knowledge of SAP will be an added advantage.
  • Deciding and Initiating Action, Leading and Supervising, Adhering to principles and values, Persuading and Influencing, Writing and Reporting, Applying Expertise and Technology, Analysing, Planning and Organising, Delivering Results and Meeting Customer Expectations.
