Ministry of Lands and Agriculture (Department of Animal Production). Job Title: Temporary Gate Keeper (1 post). Role Purpose: To provide gatekeeping services tenable at Dibete Ostrich Multiplication Unit (DOMU) for a period of six (6) months.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrol the buildings, ostrich paddocks and the surroundings
- Inspect vehicles and other plant machinery
- Record movement of goods and vehicles entering and leaving the premises
- Report any discrepancies occurring to the supervisor
- Undertake any other duties assigned by the supervisors from time to time
Requirements
- Minimum Qualification: Primary School Leaving Examinations (PSLE)
- Be a citizen of Botswana
- Should be 18 to 45 years of age
- Should be physically and mentally fit
- Should be of sober habits
- Must be able to read and write both English and Setswana
- Should provide at least one (1) reference
- Should provide certified copies of school certificates as well as Identity Card/ Omang
- Candidates need to quote the Vacancy Circular Number (3 OF 2026) in their applications
- Candidates should have not worked in DOMU as a Temporary Employee for the current financial year, i.e. 2025/2026
