Key Responsibilities

• Cutting, trimming, deboning, and preparing meat according to company standards
• Ensuring proper portion control and presentation of meat products
• Maintaining hygiene and food safety standards at all times
• Assisting customers with meat selections and providing excellent customer service
• Monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages
• Ensuring proper storage and handling of meat products

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Blockman/Butcher
• Knowledge of different meat cuts and preparation techniques
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail/wholesale environment
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Physically fit and able to handle heavy equipment
• Minimum of Junior Certificate (preferred)
• Relevant training or certification in meat processing will be an added advantage
