Lucara Botswana is seeking to appoint an OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY OFFICER. Reporting to the Occupational Health & Safety Superintendent, the Occupational Health & Safety Officer is responsible for facilitating the implementation of Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) programmes within the work packages for Underground Projects in accordance with mining standards and Occupational Health & Safety legislation, thereby providing a safe and healthy environment for employees, contractors and visitors.

Requirements
- Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or Environmental health / Environmental Science or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a mining environment preferably underground mining and construction.
- Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001
- Knowledge of relevant mining related legislation i.e. Mine, Quarries & Machinery Act and Public Health Act.
- Class B Driver’s Licence.
