FLO-TEK (Radical Investments (Pty) Ltd t/a Flotek Pipes & Irrigation) is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Cost & Management Accountant to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, analysing, and optimizing production costs, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making within the plant. This role is critical in driving cost efficiency, improving profitability, and supporting operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures
- Analyse production costs, variances, and manufacturing efficiencies
- Prepare and review standard costing models for products
- Conduct monthly stock valuations and reconciliations
- Monitor raw material usage, wastage, and yield performance
- Partner with production teams to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Prepare budget forecasts and track actual vs budget performance
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and reporting standards
- Generate detailed management reports to support decision-making
- Assist with audits and financial controls within the plant
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance / Cost Accounting
- Professional qualification (e.g., CIMA / ACCA) will be an added advantage
- Minimum 10-15 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and inventory management
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Sage, Syspro, or similar)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
