Key Responsibilities
- Develop network and infrastructure security policy.
- Contribute to the development of the ICT strategy and plans.
- Prepare Network and Infrastructure budgets for review and approval by the Head of ICT.
- Communicate priorities and targets in terms of Network and Infrastructure objectives.
- Contribute to the development of the ICT Governance Framework throughout BAC.
- Manage the Network and Infrastructure Team and ensure the delivery of established Network and Infrastructure performance targets defined in the strategic plan.
- Prepare reports for the Head of ICT periodically on Network and Infrastructure departmental performance of the institution.
Requirements
- A Master’s degree in IT related disciplines.
- Any one of the ICT professional qualifications (e.g. VMWare CCNA, Cybersecurity certification, M365, project management etc). will be an added advantage.
- At least eight (8) years of work experience in an ICT environment of which three (3) should have been at a supervisory level.
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.).
- Proficiency in configuring and managing routers, switches, firewalls and wireless access points.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and hybrid infrastructure management.
- Strong understanding of data centre management and backup/recovery solutions.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, policies and regulatory compliance requirements.
