Reporting to the Supervisor & Contract Manager. Responsible for general surface and underground build and assemble work for the project. Including, the installation, repairs and maintenance on the raise bore machinery.

Key Responsibilities
- Building products on the assembly line according to drawings, instructions, or schematics.
- Following established safety and efficiency procedures to ensure that operations run smoothly.
- Inspecting assembled products for any faults or defects.
- Loading product pieces slated for assembly onto the line and packing assembled products into boxes for storage.
- Stopping the assembly line and halting production if machinery fails or a major defect is detected.
- Maintaining a record of mechanical repairs and adjustments.
- Reporting incidents, faulty operations, or product imperfect on the assembly line to management.
- From sketch and providing material, create and cut pattern for shoes
- Partner with sample makers to ensure integrity of the pattern
- Position could temporally, on occasion, support other design colleagues as needed
- Responsible for operating the auto cutter machine including aligning product in the machine and operating the cutter correctly to ensure
- necessary adjustments to the machinery
- Ensure all paperwork is updated and handed in (Commissioning list, breakdown list, maintenance and repair procedure)
- Adheres to all aspects of on-the-job safety pertaining to safety on the job.
Requirements
- Certificate as Mechanical Fitter
- Certificate in Health & Safety
- Overhead Crane Operator
- Computer Literate
- Speak, read, and write – English
- Medically fit to work on surface and in an underground environment
- Ability to pass a police clearance
- Five to ten years’ previous experience as Raise bore Fitter
- Fault finding on Automated Raise bore Systems
- PLC knowledge of Raise bore Machines such as the RD3, RD5 and RD7
- Automated Raise bore Machines (RD3, RD5 and RD7) experience is advantageous
- Trained on Automated Software System
