Requirements

  • PhD degree in Materials Engineering, Materials and Metallurgical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering.
  • MSc (Eng) or MEng degree in Materials Engineering, Materials and Metallurgical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering.
  • BEng (Hons) OR BSc (Eng) in either Materials Engineering, Materials and Metallurgical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering.
  • Must be registered with ERB.
  • Must be registered with BQA as assessor and moderator or eligible to register within 1 year of assumption of duty.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of post-doctoral experience in either teaching/lecturing/research or industry in the following fields: Hydrometallurgy & Electrometallurgy, Elements of Pyrometallurgy, Mineral Processing, Materials & Metallurgical Engineering Design Project, Tribology or Corrosion.
  • Proven research profile and consistent publication record with at least eight (8) peer reviewed reputable publications in either scopus or web of science Index journals, commensurate with appointment to the rank of Senior Lecturer.
