Role Purpose:
This position will be responsible for managing the proactive, preventive, and corrective maintenance planning and scheduling towards the optimization of maintenance strategies through the Proto Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Key Responsibilities

To manage all effective planned maintenance systems and activities in the maintenance department for the entire company.
Responsible for all detailed maintenance schedules, shutdown schedules, and critical spares management, ensuring that customer requirements for plant and equipment availability are met.
Implementation of maintenance management system, job plans, and schedules.
Carrying out safety audits as part of shutdown and planned maintenance tasks.
Monitoring of planned maintenance schedules for compliance and communicating as required to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and safety.
Full compliance with statutory regulations, company policies, and standards.
Ensuring timely and accurate entering of data in CMMS and management reporting.

Requirements

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant qualification
Trade Test/Certificate is an added advantage
A minimum of 5 years’ experience for Senior Maintenance Planner- Proto Specialist
Experience with Proto CMMS is an added advantage
Experience within the mining environment is essential
Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
