MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To increase the reach and impact of BFA’s profile and through the delivery of high value and influential communications and PR locally and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of Corporate Communications strategy.
  • Implement a Corporate Communications Strategy that will build a desired Brand and Image of the BFA.
  • Produce, edit and distribute all publicity materials to ensure adherence to the principles of the communications strategy.
  • Keep records of all BFA activities and maintain an up-to-date database.
  • Effectively manage internal and external communication and provide regular contact with external media to ensure good publicity.
  • Work with Business Development Officer and IT to design, produce and manage the BFA website.
  • Keep regular contact with social media and act as first point of contact to inquiries and queries for proper coverage of BFA and its events.
  • Work with the Technical Services/Football Operations and Business Development Departments to build and maintain a strong Corporate Image and Brand for the BFA through the design, production and distribution of relevant materials for public education.
  • Escalate matters to the Corporate Communications Manager or Chief Executive Officer as and when necessary.
  • Work with the Business Development department to plan and organise BFA events.
  • Keep close contact with Regional Coordinators to ensure proper coverage of football matters in each region.
  • Work regularly with relevant Government Ministries and Departments to promote football.
  • Plan and implement periodic promotional events for increased public education.

Requirements

  • Degree in Communications / Public Relations
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience proven in the Corporate Communications / Public Relations field with demonstrated success.

  • Having worked in the media industry will also be an added advantage
