Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure and maintain network hardware and software
- Manage routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points and other networking equipment
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues
- Perform network upgrades and expansions as required
- Respond to and resolve network incidents and outages
- Maintain network documentation, diagrams and inventories
- Implement and maintain network security measures
- Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems and access control
- Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and standards
- Participate in the design and implementation of new network infrastructure projects
- Recommend improvements to enhance network reliability, scalability and security
- Support network backup and recovery processes
- Assist in disaster recovery planning and business continuity initiatives
- Manage network equipment inventories and warranties
- Prepare technical reports and performance statistics
- Maintain accurate records of network configurations and changes
- Develop and update standard operating procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Network Engineering or related field.
- Professional qualification (e.g. CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Fortinet NSE and Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate) – It’s a must
- 5+ years relevant experience in network administration and support
