As Botswana’s trusted life insurer, Botswana Life is looking for a Financial Controls Manager to join its management team. Reporting to the Group Executive, Finance Operations, the successful incumbent will be mandated with driving a strong and sustainable financial control environment by developing robust internal control frameworks, ensuring effective implementation and monitoring compliance. The role also champions standardisation and consistency across finance processes and internal controls, while leading reviews of financial systems transaction flows and implementing strategies to address vulnerabilities between policy administration and financial systems. Furthermore, the successful candidate will be expected to build and lead a high-performing team, ensuring employees are well trained, motivated, and developed to meet both current responsibilities and future business needs.

Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in audit, accounting, finance, or actuarial disciplines, with at least 3 years at supervisory to middle management level.
- Experience in an audit firm and/or the financial services sector will be an added advantage.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
- Full professional membership of a recognised accounting or actuarial body such as BICA, ACCA, CIMA, CISA, or an equivalent professional body.
