Key Responsibilities

  • Operates light motor vehicle up to 3500kg maximum weight including trailer (750kg) and any other permitted by the licence.
  • Performs routine vehicle maintenance, which includes removal and fitment ashing of vehicles and ensuring that tyres are inflated to correct pressure.
  • Performs pre-trip inspection and ensures that the vehicles they are assigned is road worthy.
  • Ensures proper loading of authorised loads, the security and safety of loads being carried and safe unloading of their vehicles at destination.
  • Undertake any other related duties as required to meet the exigencies of the service.

Requirements

  • Candidates must hold Junior Certificate (JC) only and must be in possession of Botswana Driver’s License Class B.
  • 18 years to 45 years old.
  • Minimum of 2 years proven driving experience.
  • All applicants from serving public officers should be routed through their heads of Department. Applicants not routed will not be considered and applicants who do not meet the requirements stipulated above will not be responded to.
