Key Responsibilities
- Do farm visits on a regular basis to give technical advice and support to the customers.
- Evaluate the performance of products and feeding programs.
- Problem solving and handling of claims with the necessary administration.
- Do feed mill formulations with format formulation program.
- Provide technical support and training to the customers.
- Interact and coordinate with technical institutes and relevant regulators.
- Gather production information from farmers to use as proof of product performance.
- Give technical feedback on product performance and new products where necessary.
- Keep abreast with new market opportunities as well as evaluation of the market with regards to trends and prices.
- Drive technical sales and grow the customer base through structured account management, dealer relationships, and farmer engagement across the region.
Requirements
- A relevant qualification in Agriculture, Animal Science, Business Management, or equivalent practical experience in the animal feed or livestock industry.
- Postgraduate qualification or currently pursuing further studies in Animal Nutrition, Business Management, or a related field will be an advantage.
- Minimum 10 years of working experience in the agricultural, livestock, or animal feed industry, with demonstrated technical advisory, operational management and sales management expertise.
- Dynamic, self-motivated, analytical, highly organised and disciplined, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and business growth.
- Good Team player, leadership, and people management skills.
- Technically sound and good customer relationship skills.
- Computer literate.
- Valid Class B Driver’s licence.
- Entrepreneurial skills and be able to work under pressure and conflict.
