Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, filing documents for easy retrieval and audit purposes.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Member savings ledgers: Updating and reconciling members’ savings ledgers.
  • Petty Cash Management: Handle petty cash requests and reconcile petty cash accounts regularly.
  • Promote co-operative philosophy with members.
  • Tax Returns: Assist in preparing PAYE returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations.
  • General Administrative Duties: Perform other general finance-related administrative tasks, such as answering finance queries, managing correspondence, and supporting the wider finance team.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Diploma in Accounting and Business Studies or Association of Accounting Technician level 4 (AAT).
  • Training on Savings and Credit Co-operative Management will be an added advantage.
  • At least three (3) years post qualification experience in an equivalent position.
