Report directly to the Compliance Manager. Responsible for ensuring adequate compliance oversight of Financial Crime Monitoring and Reporting, in line with AML/CFT regulations.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure efficient and timely transaction monitoring, screening and STR reporting
- Conduct Enhanced Due Diligence on new and existing high-risk customers
- Review new-to-bank onboarding compliance against account opening checklists and regulatory requirements
- Report CTR, EFT and IFT reports on the GoAML platform, attend to enquiries from FIA on GoAML
- Assist and provide information to regulators and law enforcers (BOB, DCEC, BURS, FIA, NBFIRA, Botswana Police Services)
- Conduct AML/CFT risk assessments on new and existing products and processes
- Ensure closure of audit issues raised under AML/CFT and Compliance
- Assist with AML/CFT enquiries from correspondent banks
- Provide direction and guidance to business functions as required
- Detect patterns, trends, anomalies and schemes in transactions; build relationships across multiple businesses/products
- Conduct AML/CFT awareness and training for all staff as required
Requirements
- Degree in a business-related discipline
- A recognised professional Compliance certification is an added advantage
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in banking, preferably in a compliance environment
