We are looking for a Driver to join our team at Tutume Primary Hospital. The successful candidate will drive vehicles, adhere to safety codes, perform vehicle maintenance, and ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drives vehicles, taking particular care to adhere to National Road Safety Code.
  • Performs pre-trips inspection and ensures that the vehicle is roadworthy.
  • Performs routine vehicle maintenance, which includes removal and fitment of tires, washing of vehicles, checking fuel, oil and water level as ensuring that tires are inflated to the correct pressure including the spare wheel.
  • Ensures loading of authorized loads, the security and safety of loads being carried and the safe unloading of their vehicles at destinations.
  • Ensures that logbooks are maintained at the start and end of work period and that all trips undertaken are authorized and entered into the logbooks.
  • Drives government vehicles on official trips with certified licenses.
  • Report to transport officer any mechanical fault or damage to the vehicle.
  • Undertakes any other related duties as required to meet the exigencies of the service.
