Key Responsibilities
- Inspection of loads, matching the invoices, purchase orders and delivery notes
- Verification of invoices pricing, vat, payment terms, supplier code, currency and quantities against purchase orders.
- Generation of goods received notes, facilitation of authorisation and submitting for payment.
- Investigation and resolution of supplier invoice queries.
- Determination of the appropriate materials preservation and storage methods.
- Allocation of binning for pre-stocked items and creation of binning location for new stock according to product class, characteristics and shelf life.
- Development of inbound and outbound logistics plans, packaging and labelling of consignments, generation of inhouse and cross border documentation. Investigation and reconciliation of cross border penalties.
- Inspection of storage facilities to ascertain condition and ensuring carrying capacities of the facilities are maintained to eliminate unsafe materials storage conditions.
Requirements
- Diploma in Materials Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration or equivalent.
- 3 years post qualification experience in a Supply Chain Management environment preferably in mining/ engineering industries.
- Membership of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply
- Knowledge of Materials Requirement Planning Computerised System is an added advantage.
- Light motor vehicle licence is essential.
