Leadership Program Officer is responsible for the implementation of the leadership program, comprising leadership skills development, career development, financial literacy, and business and ICT, as well as mentorship and tutoring.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement leadership skills program (leadership skills development, career development, financial literacy, business, ICT).
  • Facilitate leadership sessions for the participants in line with the curriculum
  • Provide mentoring to program participants
  • Refer participants for one-on-one counselling as needed
  • Monitor progress of youth in the program in the four core areas (Leadership, Career, Financial Literacy and ICT)
  • Implementation and program monitoring
  • Preparation of the monthly and quarterly reports
  • Develop and implement innovative ideas to market the leadership program
  • Assist in the mentorship/coaching interventions for youth
  • Garner access for youth to participate in activities outside the centre to practice communication skills

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social sciences [business, education, youth development] or related field
  • 2 years of relevant experience
  • Advanced facilitation skills for both groups and individuals
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills with the ability to deal with numerous priorities concurrently.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Fluent in both Setswana and English
