The Social Worker provides social work services to students, addressing their psychosocial needs. Key Responsibilities

  • (i) Conduct individual and group counselling sessions.
  • (ii) Assess the needs of the student and the student’s family.
  • (iii) Design, implement interventions/ programmes and monitor outcomes for identified students’ needs.
  • (v) Provide resources that are helpful to students in their social, psychological and emotional adjustment.
  • (vi) Liaise with internal and external services providers to address psycho-social issues of students.
  • (vii) Advocate for specific psychosocial services to meet the welfare and academic needs of students.
  • (viii) Provide crisis intervention and emergency services to clients with emotional distress.
  • (ix) Maintain accurate and confidential records of counselling sessions and interventions provided.

Requirements

  • (i) A Masters’ degree in Social Work, Counselling or related qualifications.
  • (i) Strong case intervention skills including individual, group, family, and community counselling.
  • (ii) Excellent communication, interpersonal, and crisis intervention skills.
  • Work Experience: Not required.
