The Botswana Examinations Council (BEC) is a semi-autonomous parastatal established under the Botswana Examinations Council Act, Cap 58:03 of 2019, operating under the Ministry of Child Welfare and Basic Education.
BEC is mandated to conduct school examinations and other examinations on behalf of the Ministry of Child Welfare and Basic Education and to award certificates in respect of the examinations it administers.
As part of its commitment to promoting transparency, fairness, competitiveness, and effective supplier management, BEC invites suitably qualified and experienced suppliers, service providers, and consultants to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) for consideration and inclusion in the BEC Supplier Database.

Key Responsibilities
- The purpose of this Expression of Interest is to establish and maintain a database of competent suppliers with the necessary capacity, experience, resources, and technical capability to provide goods, works, and services to BEC as and when required.
- The supplier database will support BEC’s procurement processes by providing access to capable and compliant suppliers across various categories of goods and services.
Requirements
- Submission of all mandatory compliance documents;
- Validity of statutory and regulatory documentation;
- Submission of an Expression of Interest does not guarantee inclusion in the BEC Supplier Database or the award of any contract.
- Only suppliers who meet the required compliance and capability requirements will be considered for inclusion in the database.
- Existing suppliers and service providers currently engaged by BEC are required to participate in this supplier registration process and shall not be exempted from submitting the required documentation.
