Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB from a recognised institution).
- Be admitted to practise in the Courts of Botswana, and in good standing with the Law Society of Botswana.
- 3 years post-qualification experience as an Attorney, Conveyancer and Notary Public.
- Experience in legal practice, regulatory compliance, risk management and advisory roles.
- Demonstrated litigation experience, including trial preparation and court attendances before the Magistrates’ Court, High Court, Court of Appeal and the Industrial Court.
- Completion of Trial Advocacy training.
- Proven participation in the Law Society of Botswana (LSB) training programme in the capacity of trainer.
- Formal qualifications and/or certifications in AI Governance, including AI, data governance or emerging regulatory and ethical frameworks.
- Postgraduate qualification or professional certification in risk management, compliance, insurance or corporate governance will be an added advantage.
- Avid communicator, analytical, drafting and professional training skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively convey complex legal, regulatory and compliance advisory concepts.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, legal tech work environment.
- Valid Driver’s License.
