Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process purchase orders and order schedules accurately and timeously
- Receive and check accuracy against quotes on purchase requisitions from internal stakeholders
- Ensure stock accuracy by efficient alignment of company’s stock control systems and distributors
- Ensure the reduction of stock provisions by identifying/detecting expired stock and communicating with the relevant departments
- Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to maintain balanced stock levels and eliminate supply chain bottlenecks
- Ensure stock is at the right place at the right time so that it is available for business (all related stock movements)
- Investigate with the quality team all received Product Quality Complaints and Adverse Events
- Processes requests for new vendors when required and conduct vendor assessments
- Support BBBEE procurement initiatives and supplier development programmes
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, payment terms and service-level agreements (SLAs) to achieve optimal cost savings
- Ensure purchases meet quality, cost and delivery targets
- Analyse costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and improved efficiency
- Resolve supplier queries and discrepancies efficiently
- Performing procurement-related administration duties
- Support creation and administration of Purchase Order history, material/service and vendor master data on an ongoing basis
- Compile and submit weekly and monthly procurement reports
- Monitor supplier contracts and service level agreements and ensure they are in-line with Purchase Orders
- Follow up delivery of outstanding orders
- Collect data, analyse, benchmark and identify trends using understanding of sourcing processes
- Ensure compliance with Company purchasing policies, procedures and delivery protocols
- Ensure procurement documentation is available for audits and compliance reviews
- Comply with Safety, Health and Environmental standards
- Manage Moving Average Price (MAP) Report daily to ensure material price accuracy
- Workflow management (Vendor Payment Query Resolution) in collaboration with FSSC and Company Stakeholders
Requirements
- National Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Purchasing, Logistics or related
- 4 – 5 years relevant experience in Procurement, Purchasing and/or Supply Chain Management
- At least 3 years should have been gained in a Mining or Manufacturing environment
- Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving ability
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
- Honest, loyal, innovative and a team player
- Experience with ERP & Coupa systems
