Key Responsibilities
- Support operational management in maintaining a healthy and safe working environment across farms, the packhouse, employee transport and seasonal accommodation.
- Ensure that health and safety induction and training form part of the onboarding process, and that related records are properly maintained.
Requirements
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of HR generalist experience, including at least two years at senior supervisory or management level.
- Demonstrated experience in a labour-intensive agricultural, production, manufacturing or similarly operational environment.
- Proven experience managing high-volume seasonal recruitment, workforce planning, onboarding and induction.
- Strong, up-to-date knowledge of Botswana labour legislation, including the Employment and Labour Relations Act, 2025 (ELRA) and recent amendments, as well as industrial relations, contract management, grievance and disciplinary processes and statutory reporting.
- Experience preparing for ethical, social, customer and employment-practice audits; agricultural standards experience will be advantageous.
- Basic working knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements and related record keeping.
