Key Responsibilities
- Assist to develop and implement comprehensive marketing programmes and strategies to promote the University’s programmes, events, and achievements;
- Manage digital marketing campaigns, including social media, email marketing, and online advertising;
- Conduct market research and analyse data to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement;
- Establish data management and tracking systems to monitor the University’s marketing efforts;

- Monitor sales and financial performance of merchandise, adjusting strategies as needed;
- Manage inventory, pricing, and vendor relationships to optimize profitability;
- Coordinate promotional activities and special offers to attract customers;
- Provide excellent customer service ensuring client and stakeholder satisfaction;
- Establish and maintain partnerships with relevant internal and external stakeholders to enable effective delivery of the departmental mandate, as necessary;
- Resolve customer enquiries and issues in a timely and efficient manner;
- Identify and address areas of improvement for customer and stakeholder experience;
- Assist with the development and management of the departmental budget;
- Develop and manage Marketing and Branding risk register with clear mitigation strategies;
- Contribute to the development of the University’s and departmental strategies, policies, plans and procedures, and lead implementation at a unit level;
- Develop and implement marketing and branding strategies, as well as associated public relations plans in line with the departmental strategy;
- Manage the unit’s operational performance against established goals and objectives identifying areas for improvement and recommending corrective action as needed and Undertake any other duties as directed by the supervisor in line with the role.
Requirements
- Have a minimum of a Master’s degree in Marketing, Branding, Communications, Business Administration, or related field;
- Be a member of recognized professional body (e.g. PRISA, CIM, IABC).
- A minimum of six (6) years relevant work experience, with at least three (3) years at senior professional/officer level. Higher Education experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools, content management systems, and analytics platforms;
- Strong project management and organizational skills;
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities;
- Creativity and the ability to think strategically;
- Understanding of market research techniques and data analysis;
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
