To lead and coordinate all pit services activities including dewatering, road maintenance, dust suppression, and lighting to support production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee pit dewatering, road maintenance, and lighting installations.
- Ensure readiness of essential pit services to minimize operational delays.
- Monitor usage of consumables (fuel, water, materials).
- Schedule preventative maintenance for service equipment.
- Coordinate relocation of services infrastructure.
- Lead and supervise service truck operators and technicians.
- Prepare shift reports and performance updates.
- Enforce pit safety standards regarding traffic flow and visibility.
- Conduct inspections of work areas and equipment.
Requirements
- Certificate in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in open cast mining with at least 2 years in pit support services or supervision.
- Strong understanding of dewatering systems and mobile equipment.
- Valid Open Pit (surface mining) Blasting Certificate.
- Understanding of SHE Management System ISO 45001:2018 & ISO 14001:2015.
