We are seeking an experienced, driven, and customer-focused Retail Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of retail stores in Botswana, leading the team, driving sales, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily store operations
- Lead, train, supervise, and motivate store staff
- Drive sales and ensure achievement of store targets
- Deliver excellent customer service and resolve customer issues professionally
- Manage stock levels, inventory control, and merchandising
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations
- Prepare staff schedules, reports, and performance evaluations
- Monitor expenses, reduce shrinkage, and control operational costs
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in a retail environment
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Good understanding of retail sales, merchandising, and key performance indicators
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Computer literacy (POS systems, email, basic reporting tools)
- Minimum of a high school certificate i.e Matric Certificate/Cambridge AS Level/ Botswana General Certificate of Secondary Education (BGCSE).
- A qualification in retail management, business, or a related field will be an advantage
