QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Humanities or Library and Information Studies.
EXPERIENCE:
At least six years (6) Post Qualification Experience in Records management or related field, two (2) of which must have been served as Records Manager I at C1 salary scale in the Public Service or equivalent level in the in the Private / Parastatal Organization.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To implement Records Management programmes.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
• Guides customers on records management standards and procedures.
• Conducts records management sensitization workshops for customers.
• Develops file classification scheme.
• Develops records retention and disposal schedule.
• Develops guidelines and procedures for records management.
• Conducts appraisal of semi-current records.
• Analyze data for customer satisfaction and records management surveys,
• Conducts periodic inspection of records management service delivery.
• Undertakes research on records management and benchmark on best practices.
• Orientates newly appointed staff on records management.
• Supervises, coach and mentor supervisees.
• Undertakes any other related duties as assigned by management.
