Reporting to Human Resources Director the successful candidate will be expected to plan and manage the internal communications function of Orange Botswana. This will be achieved through ensuring that staff is well informed of the social/operational aspects of the Organisation.

The main duties include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with both the Human Resources, Marketing & PR departments to develop and implement an internal communications and intranet content strategy that engages employees in the company’s vision, mission, business goals and values.
- Develop an annual internal communications plan.
- Build constructive dialogues and ensure dual flow of communication within the Organisation.
- Plan, manage and coordinate the internal communication strategy both at group & local level.
- Plan, manage and coordinate the community rituals programmes (ISB survey, etc.).
- Champion and maintain editorial ownership of Orange Botswana’s intranet and Plazza platform.
- Manage Orange Brand internally
- Communicate internally on CRS, and Ethics, philanthropy, projects.
- Make visible, internally, the successes of Orange Botswana and of the Group through various communication channels.
- Ensure that communication/correspondence is timely, relevant, and accurate & strategically to disseminated to relevant audience.
- Act as a communication contact point/link between Management and staff on social issues.
- Work with HR Team & Management to develop specific, targeted internal communication mechanisms to support the delivery of Orange’s strategy and business.
- Analyse channel usage trends and statistics and develop action plan to close gaps.
- Produce a newsletter on a quarterly basis and monthly news flash.
- Plan, manage and coordinate all internal functions/events & Reward/recognition programmes.
- Coordinate with Marketing & PR to ensure that all external communications/promotions and launches are communicated internally first.
- Manage and coordinate the Brand Ambassador Team functions and responsibilities.
- To undertake any other relevant duties as required to meeting the departmental overall goals.
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills & editing skills.
- Strong understanding of website usability and how to use digital channels to communicate with a diverse audience and a sense of creativity.
- Highly collaborative; ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
- Ability to harness maximum space, resourceful and hands on.
- Organizational skills & Analytical thinking ability.
- Strong Project Management & Time Management skills.
- Problem-solving skills
Qualifications and experience
- Degree in Marketing/Communications or Equivalent
- 2-4 years’ experience in internal communications
- Fluency in English and Setswana
- French will be an added advantage
