- As part of the emergency response team, you will be responsible for driving the ambulance, operating the fire engine and responding to emergencies
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Driving the ambulance and operating the fire engine.
- Ensuring Safe transfer of patients and staff to a different facility or level of care.
- Conducting fire and health emergency drills in line with Khoemacau emergency response procedure
- Carrying out and providing technical input into investigations of fire related incidents or occurrences, to determine root causes and appropriate remedial intervention.
- Providing and reviewing investigation reports,
- before submission to relevant parties.
- Completing- all documentation in a timely manner as appropriate and demonstrating concise and accurate knowledge of Ambulance (Emergency Vehicle) operations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- A valid driver’s licence that qualifies him/her to drive and operate a fire engine (Heavy duty licence with experience of driving 4×4). Current or valid CPR certificate. Experience and knowledge operating lifesaving and emergency rescue equipment is critical to the role
- At least 3 years of Emergency Vehicle operations experience
