Principal accountabilities and responsibilities
- Procurement
Performs prescribed procurement activities using existing procedures to support others.
Identifies the need for office and household furniture repairs and replacements, processes documentation for the procurement and allocation and updates inventory records.
- Budgeting & Costing
Performs simple procedural tasks to support the budgeting process.Prepares proposals for expenditure budget and contributes to capital budget
- Facilities
Performs prescribed facilities management activities by following existing policies and procedures.Administers staff house allocation in accordance with housing policy.Supervises guest house activities and ensures efficient provision of hospitality services.Arranges accommodation, transport and flight bookings for Corporate staff and visitors travelling on Corporate business.Checks stock levels and recommends purchases of cleaning, gardening and protective material and equipment and ensures cleanliness of facilities.
- Contract Administration
Delivers required outcomes and serves as the primary point of contact while working under guidance within an established contract management plan and coordinating activities performed by subcontractors and suppliers.Identifies and initiates contracts with service providers for low maintenance services.Monitors performance of service providers to ensure compliance with service level agreements, and recommends remedial action.
- Client & Customer Management (External and Internal)
Carries out prescribed client management activities and provides support to others by following existing procedures.
- Administration
Compiles and prepares periodic administration sectional reports.Processes payments and monitors usage of utilities and other services rendered to the Corporation to ensure continuous supply of such services.Identifies, compiles list of obsolete corporation assets for disposal and coordinates auction process.Reconciles proceeds from sale of boarded assets, makes deposits to finance and prepares report to supervisor.
- Safety, Health and Environment
Supports others by carrying out simple safety, health and environment tasks using established procedures.
Qualifications
JobQualification
A recognized Degree in Business Administration/Public Administration or equivalent.
Experience

At least 3 years post qualification experience in the provision of administrative services
