Main purpose of the Job:
The incumbents will be mainly responsible for site follow-up and collection of overdue accounts and or prevention of accounts in their portfolio from worsening or charging off. With the key attributes of being able to apply different collection strategies as deemed fit per account under their portfolio, the Field Officer should be someone who is able to work independently, is result oriented, is a team player and has good negotiation skills.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
· Go on field visits to trace and contact Bayport debtors with the aim of collecting Bayport debts
· Have the ability to come up with different collection strategies per debtor and make relevant recommendations
· Prevent book from ageing further by pushing accounts with arrears to the most recent and converting non performing accounts to performing
· Ensure all arrears accounts go through collection strategies as prescribed by the company until arrears are fully cleared
· Ensures adherence to credit standards as set by Bayport as well as compliance to collectors code of conduct.
· Follow-up of accounts in their portfolio and ensure their conversion within the month of allocation
· Apply collections strategies of Trace, telephone, sms, letter, field visit and face to face contacts as seen appropriate and in a cost effective manner

Qualifications
· Certificate in Business Management.
· 3 years’ experience in credit control or debt collection capacity.
· Debt management or negotiation skills.
· Having field collection experience is an added advantage.
