THE JOB
The incumbent will be responsible for among other things, the following:
- Leading the development and execution of the overall University strategy.
- Leading the development and alignment of policies, processes and programs.
- Building and fostering a culture of scholarly excellence.
- Defining and nurturing overall organisation performance management philosophy, through implementing appropriate policies and processes.
- Leading and driving culture and climate of cohesion and teamwork across the University.
- Championing and driving change initiatives within the University.
- Developing and nurturing strategic relationships and partnerships for the benefit of the University.
- Ensuring the University is operated and managed along sound corporate governance principles.
- Overseeing regulatory compliance by the institution
THE PERSON
The right candidate must meet the following minimum requirements;
- Possess a Doctoral Degree from a recognised University.
- Possess at least five (5) years experience at Executive Management level in a reputable academic or research institution
- Must have attained a minimum of three (3) years as an Associate Professor at a recognized University.
- Possess extensive knowledge of University systems and understanding of the tertiary education landscape.
